Help us build back & continue
to provide much needed care.

Schneider Regional Medical Center is an essential part of St. Thomas/St. John and the Virgin Islands. We provide care to visitors and residents of the United States Virgin Islands and the region.

Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria, two Category 5 storms, created extensive and catastrophic damage to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital on St. Thomas and the Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center on St. John. As the only emergency care facilities on each island, we had to remain open to provide care to persons on the islands who needed it. The Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute also experienced total loss and at present we are completely unable to provide any cancer treatment at our facility. Thanks to our hardworking and dedicated staff and leadership, we are going to recover and come back even better than before. You can help us build back and continue to provide much needed care to the people of the St. Thomas/St. John district by supporting us with your financial contributions.

We have endured the full force of Mother Nature’s strength and now stand strong with each other as we begin the rebuilding process. Please know that the professional team at the Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) stands ready to tend to your medical needs. SRMC did suffer damages during the passage of both storms, however our doors never closed. We have remained open to serve the needs of our community. Our Emergency Department stands ready to provide urgent care. Our obstetricians continue to deliver babies.
