Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is a semi-autonomous healthcare system serving the St. Thomas–St. John District under the Virgin Islands Government Hospitals and Health Facilities Corporation. As part of a unified territorial healthcare system, SRMC plays a vital role in delivering coordinated, high-quality care across the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Joint Commission
The Clinical Laboratory at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital and Myrah Keating Smith Health Center are accredited by CLIA – Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments and Joint Commission which ensures quality testing in line with industry standards.
National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems
The Dialysis Unit at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital is certified by the Trans-Atlantic Renal Council.
Radiology Department’s Nuclear Medicine Equipment was inspected by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and is licensed at least until the Year 2013.
The RLSH Mammography equipment was inspected by the Food and Drug Administration and the American College of Radiology.
The Roy L. Schneider Hospital is a member of the American Hospital Association.
The Roy L. Schneider Hospital Pharmacy Department is licensed by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
The Facility is licensed by the Department of Health; meets OSHA Standards; and is licensed by Licensing and Consumer Affairs.
