About Us

Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is a semi-autonomous healthcare system serving the St. Thomas–St. John District under the Virgin Islands Government Hospitals and Health Facilities Corporation. As part of a unified territorial healthcare system, SRMC plays a vital role in delivering coordinated, high-quality care across the U.S. Virgin Islands.

SRMC includes three key facilities working together to provide comprehensive, patient-centered services:

Roy Lester Schneider Hospital
A full-service acute care hospital offering 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient care, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, and specialized treatment.
Myrah Keating Smith Community Health Center
Providing primary care, urgent care, and essential health services to the St. John community.
Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute
Opening soon, expanding access to advanced cancer diagnosis, treatment, and support services within the territory.

Together, we are committed to strengthening healthcare across our district by improving access, enhancing quality, and delivering compassionate care close to home. Through collaboration, innovation, and a focus on patient experience, SRMC continues to advance the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
