SRMC had a wide range of medical professionals provide information to Virgin Islands high school students about the roles that exist in healthcare. Our CEO, Tina Comissiong, shared inspiring words – encouraging students to find opportunities they love, to consider pursuing educational paths to work in healthcare, and to use their skills and passion to serve their community after they finish those educational programs.
SRMC brought representatives from the Operating Room, Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Pulmonary and Critical Care Division, Pharmacy Department, Radiology Department, Laboratory Department, OBGYN Department, Respiratory Department, Surgical and Medical Units, Rehabilitation Department,, Biomedical Engineering Division, Administration, Information Technology Department, Human Resources, Behavioral Health & Wellness, and other clinical and non-clinical staff to talk with students about the beauty of working in healthcare. Each Department provided hands-on opportunities for students to get a feel of working in healthcare. It was an engaging day filled with learning, connection, and inspiration for the next generation of healthcare professionals!
SRMC congratulates Dr. Denita Boschulte for coordinating this tremendously successful event for the benefit of our youths.
