Patient Accounts Research Analyst I is responsible for accurate, timely preparation and submission of claims to third party carriers and intermediaries. This individual is also responsible for collections and follow-up with insurance/patients, clients and other third party payers. The Patient Accounts Research Analyst I may also be responsible for refund preparation, adjustments, reviewing of zero pays, other explanation of benefits and correspondences. Moreover, duties may include resolving and identifying late bills, editing accounts and performing cashier related functions. May interact with medical staff, department managers/supervisors, head nurses, third party payer representatives and business associates to accomplish all responsible duties.
