assumes responsibility and accountability for providing safe, effective, quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. The Staff Nurse also provides leadership and supervision of the unit and employees. This person works collaboratively with all the members of the healthcare team.
Education & Experience
Must have completed an approved Nursing Program and passed the RN NCLEX exam. Holds a current VI RN license.

Hazards & Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, walk up to 4 hours a day, and sit for up to 4 hours a day. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs. and lift/carry up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis. Is aware of the risk of exposure to communicable diseases, blood, and/or body fluids.
Specific Requirements
Current BLS certification.
NRP, ACLS, and PALS certification as required.
Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers.
