This position requires the incumbent to have a sound knowledge and proficiency in the treatment of respiratory disorders for inpatients and outpatients with various types of media (i.e., oxygen and other therapeutic gases, mist inhalation equipment and ventilators). Establishes a good rapport with fellow associates while maintaining a professional relationship. This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Respiratory Department. Starting Salary: Based on experience.

This work is categorized as medium work type, which includes the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly, standing and or walking for up to 8 hours per day and sitting for up to 1 hour per day.
Specific Requirements
Current (BLS), ACLS, NRP & PALS Certificate by a recognized association; RRT preferred. Respiratory Therapist shall obtain ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications within six (6) months of hire. All ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications shall be renewed within sixty (60) days of expiration. Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers. Must have current Respiratory Therapy U.S. license in good standing.
