Patient Care Technician (PCT) assumes responsibility to provide safe patient care and ensures safety of equipment and supplies. The PCT ensures effective communication to appropriate clinical staff and team members relative to patient care needs, and performs duties as indicated by the individuals that he or she reports per policy and procedure.
Any combination of one of the following qualifications:
CNA with three years of experience with Phlebotomy certification or;
Current EMT-I or Paramedic certification with 3 yrs. EMT experience or;
Documented proof of at least 1 yr. of experience in a PCT role from an outside institution. or;
Completion of a Nursing Program. (minimum Graduate of PN Program required)
Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement and Life Insurance.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must be knowledgeable and comfortable working with computers. Telemetry certification preferred.
