Under the general supervision of the Supervisors or Department Director, work involves independent performance and working under established procedures. Performs various tasks and operations to prepare food items and set up patient and cafeteria meal service. Adheres to policies that ensure quality care for patients of any age. Maintains department and area clean, sanitary manner acceptable to all regulatory agencies. Functions as a member of the Food Service Department to ensure that food service is provided to patients, residents, and non-patient customers. May also be responsible for performing other supervisor or Director duties. May also be responsible for preparing food for other department areas for meal service for patients and visitors. This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the position’s duties and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Dietary Department.
