Plans therapeutic diets per the physician’s diagnoses and the requirements of regulatory agencies. Functions as a multidisciplinary health care team member to implement nutrition care plans. Provides professional methods to improve the nutritional health of a patient and keep the body healthy in various areas of specialty or within a specialty area. Works with other healthcare staff to provide needed evaluations, assessments, education, development of the nutritional plan(s), implementation, and subsequent re-evaluation regarding nutritional therapy and requirements. Includes CKCI coverage.
Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences and/or Dietetics, credentialed as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) required. Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, clinical nutrition, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working as a clinical dietitian.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Capacity to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds, such as food supplies or kitchen equipment. Exposure to kitchen environments may include hot surfaces, sharp objects, and cooking equipment. Risk of slips, trips, and falls in food preparation or service areas, particularly in areas with wet floors or spills.
Specific Requirements
In-depth knowledge of current dietary guidelines, medical nutrition therapy, and evidence-based practices in clinical nutrition.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret lab results and medical data to develop effective nutrition interventions.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other allied health professionals.
