The Clinical Care Coordinator assumes the responsibility of developing and implementing the philosophy and objective of the Hospital and the Nursing Department. The CCC administers, directs, and coordinates activities of nursing and patient care services. Supervises both administrative and clinical functions for the purpose of providing safe and competent care to the patient. Collaborates with other health disciplines and supportive services in coordinating and supervising the management of the units and patient care delivery. Direct supervision is received from the Vice-President of Patient Care/Nursing Services or designee and keeps the VP of Patient Care/Nursing Services, informed of both progress and potential problems of patient care delivery.This individual assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Nursing Department.
qualifications
Licensed Professional Registered Nurse; BSN required. Nursing leadership experience preferred. Must have successfully completed an accredited school of Nursing and possess a minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care clinical nursing experience field. Masters preferred.
Hazards & Physical Requirements
This work is performed in a sedentary setting and includes sitting for 4-6 hours per day and 2-4 hours per day walking and or standing. Is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or body fluids. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs. and lift/carry up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis.
Specific Requirements
Current VI RN license and AHA BLS certification. PALS and ACLS certification recommended. The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use discretion regarding confidential matters. Must possess confidence and comfort level with computer systems, word processing programs and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
