Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse who provides expert psychiatric care within the emergency department and inpatient settings. The PMHNP is responsible for evaluating and treating patients presenting with acute psychiatric symptoms or behavioral health crises. This includes comprehensive assessments, crisis intervention, medication management, and coordination of care with multidisciplinary teams and community-based services.

Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day, walk up to 4 hours a day, and sit for up to 4 hours a day. Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs. and lift/carry up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis. Is aware of the risk of exposure to communicable diseases, blood, and/or body fluids.
