Originally opening in 2005, it provided the Eastern Caribbean region with State-Of-The-Art comprehensive outpatient diagnostic and treatment services, combining clinical services, research efforts, educational and patient support services, all under one roof.<\/p><p>Hurricanes Irma and Maria forced the closure of CKCI in 2017. The hospital lost the ability to provide critically needed Oncology services for our communities and territories, under one roof.<\/p><p>With the support of numerous\u00a0dedicated and hard-working personnel, we have overcome this hurdle and will reopen the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute, later this year.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d31580c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d31580c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Upon opening, Oncology services will include <b data-path-to-node=\"8,0\" data-index-in-node=\"79\">Radiation Oncology<\/b> and <b data-path-to-node=\"8,0\" data-index-in-node=\"102\">Medical Oncology<\/b>.
