The Purchasing Specialist I is responsible for the operation of the procurement functions at Schneider Regional Medical Center via the MediTech System and follow up on open purchase orders. Assists Materials Management Director and Purchasing Manager as necessary. This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and their respective Department.
Any combination of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work in this classification is performed in a sedimentary setting, and involves walking, sitting, bending and standing to fulfill associated responsibilities. May be required to lift, push or carry 10 lbs. frequently, or up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
Highly effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas and concepts. Attention to detail. Excellent Customer Services Skills.
