Patient Access Representative is responsible for collecting and completes accurate personal, clinical and financial information in an effective and courteous manner. Ensures compliance with admission criteria, verifies insurance and eligibility, initiates pre-authorization, establishes liability for payment to bill and collect from third-party intermediaries and insurance companies. The position requires the ability to relate to all levels of management, medical staff, patients and visitors. Representative is also responsible for preparing receipts for bank deposit and data entry, posts money collected on hospital accounts, post miscellaneous hospital cash, balance to GL and Finance Daily. Representative must have the ability to solve daily problems relating to very ill, injured, or uncooperative patients.
