Position

The Medical Staff Obstetrician/Gynecologist must be a qualified medical doctor, who has successfully completed a U.S. residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Must be licensed to practice medicine in the United States Virgin Islands and must be board certified in their specialty within 5 years of joining the organization. Must be credentialed in Schneider Regional Medical Center as an associate or active member with appropriate privileges in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Must be able to triage and manage the uncomplicated pregnant patient in labor as well as triage and manage complications of pregnancy in the outpatient and inpatient settings. He/she must be available during call hours to manage consults in the emergency room as well as consults within other departments within SRMC. Should have the basic operative skills necessary to treat patients with common and emergency obstetrical and gynecologic issues.

Specific Requirements

Physician will maintain a current VI Medical license, current DEA and current Malpractice Insurance (of not less than the minimum amounts determined by the Board of Directors. Board certification requirements as prescribed by the Medical staff Bylaws must be maintained. Must have BLS from the American Heart Association and NRP certification.
