Nurse Recruiter

Position

The Human Resources Nurse Recruiter monitors and coordinates the staffing needs of the Nursing Department and works collaboratively with and requires a confidential relationship with the policy making officials at SRMC, including the Nursing Leadership Team, Nursing Agencies, and the Human Resources Department, in coordinating the recruitment of nursing staff and ensuring that institutional standards are in compliance. Assures the screening, interviewing, negotiating, investigating, selection and employment process for the Department of Nursing is consistent with personnel policies and regulatory bodies. Coordinates and analyzes statistical data and other reports concerning all aspects of recruitment and employment activities to monitor trends that may determine under the direction of the Vice-President of Human Resources, policies, practices and programs, if appropriate. Strategically examines financial impact of various endeavors related to filling position vacancies and makes recommendations as warranted pertaining to compensation and salary increases, etc. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with Nurse Management Team and staff to facilitate efficient and effective department operations. Additionally, performs related human resources tasks as assigned. This person assumes responsibility and is accountable for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Human Resources Department. qualifications

Experience in recruitment preferred; Three years administrative or program management experience;

Hazards & Physical Requirements

This work is performed in a sedentary setting and requires some flexibility for walking and or standing for a portion of the day.

Specific Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary nursing care practices and care delivery structures; Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; exceptional communication skills. Knowledge and experience in the use of computers for word processing, database management and statistical analysis purposes. Knowledge and experience in statistical analysis and reports. Ability to travel as necessary.
