Admit, evaluate, treat and provide consultation and necessary cardiac diagnostic, interventional procedures to patients 18 years of age and up with acute and chronic coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes and valvar heart disease, to treat abnormalities that impair the function of the heart. The interventional cardiologist is to provide care of cardiac patients in the cardiac care units, emergency department or other intensive care units.
