An Endocrinologist will be able to perform dynamic endocrine testing, indicated Endocrinology related radioactive iodine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, management of thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, and thyroid storm. They will develop and manage subcutaneous insulin protocols as well as work collaboratively with Nutrition for our diabetic diet program. Will utilize these modalities to diagnose and provide treatment decisions regarding the patients’ health problems and collaborate with other medical providers as to the appropriate management of patients and their conditions
Must be licensed to practice medicine in the V.I. and must be certified in their specialty within 5 years of joining the organization. Must be credentialed by Schneider Regional Medical Center as an associate or active member with appropriate privileges in Endocrinology to admit, evaluate, perform history and physical examination, diagnose and provide treatment or consultative services to patients 18 years of age and older presenting with endocrine diseases.
Must have BLS certification from the American Heart Association
