Chief Medical Officer

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a key member of the Schneider Regional Medical Center Senior Leadership team. This position provides clinical direction to the health management and credentialing divisions. The position provides medical oversight, expertise and leadership to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services. The CMO is also responsible for recruiting physicians, overseeing the credentialing and privileges of all staff physicians. The CMO will participate in strategic planning, provide performance guidance to the medical staff, and be responsible for developing personnel and other budgets. The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with hospital, governmental, Joint Commission, CMS and all other regulatory agencies management expectations. This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and their respective Department.

Hazards & Physical Requirements

Works in administrative and healthcare setting and is aware of risk of exposure to communicable diseases; blood and/or body fluids.

Specific Requirements

Understanding and knowledge of The Joint Commission and CMS standards

Highly effective communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas and concepts

High level of professionalism and integrity, with the ability to handle and manage confidential information

Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships at all levels with confidence
