Under the general supervision of the Supervisors or Department Director, the Administrator Officer II work involves independent performance and working under established procedures. Performs a variety of task and operations to prepare food items and set up patient and cafeteria meal services. May also be responsible for preparing food for other areas of the department for meal service for patients and visitors. Duties as involve training and some supervision of Food Service employees. Assumes supervisory tasks in the absence of the area supervisor. May assist with other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Director. The Administrative Officer II assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Dietary Department.
Any combination of a High School Diploma or an equivalent certificate from an accredited institution, vocational or technical certificate of completion, with 5 or more years of applicable experience in related field.
Work in this category is majorly sedentary and involves sitting, some standing and walking; employee may be required to lift or pull up to 10 lbs. frequently or 20 lbs. occasionally.
Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel. Must possess the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Must possess a current Virgin Islands food handler’s card.
