assists the Vice President of Facilities and Engineering and will oversee the daily maintenance of the facility, its operation, and regulatory compliance. Supervision is exercised over technical Maintenance staff in the Facilities Department. The Facilities Manager will also assist in planning, designing, renovating, constructing, managing finance, and administrating projects for Schneider Regional Medical Center. Work involves managing actual construction activities in coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Responsibilities include regularly inspecting facilities for repair and maintenance purposes, planning work required, and estimating material costs and man hours required. Liaison is maintained with all departments to ensure that their support service needs are met in these areas. Work is performed with considerable independence in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations. Performs the duties of SRMC’s Safety Officer relative to the Environment of Care. This person assumes responsibility and accountability for the position’s duties and is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Facilities Management Department.
