Director of Food and Nutrition Services

The Director of Food and Nutrition Services is responsible for all administrative and clinical aspects of food and nutrition services. The DFNS ensures a high level of customer service and patient satisfaction, excellent work culture and cost-effective management of all aspects of the service. Responsible for all food service-related activities; including patient care, non-patient care (retail, cafeteria, catering, etc.), quality improvement, sanitation, infection control and all hospital-related activities. The Director of Food and Nutrition services ensures food served meets diet standards and requirement. A Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of management experience or an Associate’s Degree plus the equivalent of 7 years of management experience or 8-10 years management experience with increasing degrees of responsibility attained. ServSafe Certified and/or Certified Dietary Manager preferred. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with confidential employee and patient information.
