Oversees the daily operations of the central sterile processing department, prioritizing requests relative to Operating Room needs. The Supervisor will serve as the first line of escalation for staff questions on workflow and processes. The incumbent is responsible for training new staff, planning and developing training materials, developing and implementing quality assurance processes, and serving as a go-to resource to staff. The Supervisor supports staff, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and accurately, and communication occurs between shifts. The Supervisor must be able to effectively promote positive customer service while working in a highly stressful and complex environment. This position is responsible for performing quality control checks, participating in departmental quality initiatives and trends, analyzing concerns, and properly documenting and maintaining sterilization records. Supervises and schedules the daily activities of the central sterile staff overseeing work quality and productivity. The Central Sterile Supervisor participates in the onboarding of new staff and the continued education of staff. This position assumes responsibility and accountability for the duties of the position. It is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives, and policies of the Schneider Regional Medical Center and the Peri-Operative Services Department. Salary: Based on experience.
