St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) is offering a limited-time bill amnesty program to assist patients with outstanding balances.
Patients can receive a 50% discount on their total outstanding medical bills if paid in full by October 15, 2024. For those unable to pay the full amount, SRMC is offering a 12-month payment plan with a 20% discount on the balance. This initiative underscores SRMC’s commitment to accessible healthcare and financial relief for the community.
“We recognize that some patients may not have received their bills promptly or may not be fully aware of their outstanding balances,” said Tina Comissiong, CEO of SRMC. “We are actively sending out billing statements and encourage anyone unsure of their account status to contact us. This program provides financial relief and encourages patients to settle their accounts with significant savings.”
Effective immediately, all patients with unpaid balances are eligible to participate in the program. The initiative supports both patients and SRMC in maintaining high-quality healthcare services for the St. Thomas-St. John district.
“We want everyone to have an opportunity to participate in this amnesty program and receive the discount,” said Comissiong. “Our goal is twofold: to provide financial relief to our patients and ensure SRMC can collect the necessary resources to continue offering safe, reliable care to everyone who needs it.”
